350z dashboard noise?

Question

Hi all. I've got an '04 enthusiast, and the buzzes and rattles i get from my dashboard are shocking and annoying. this car must have been assembled by chimps. the instrument gauge cluster above the steering wheel and the set of 3 gauges over the center of the dash BOTH make buzzing, clicking, and rattling at least 80% of the time i'm in the car.

is this a problem others have been reporting in any significant numbers?

I haven't taken the car in yet because in my gut i KNOW it won't make these noises when the mechanic is riding inside.

It seems that many of them do this.  I have a 03 350Z and it does the same thing.  You have to get on the dealer to get it corrected and yes it takes a couple of times of them riding with you to make sure they understand the problem.  Take the service adviser first and when you get it back and it is still not corrected demand the service manager goes for a ride.  If all else fails call 1800nissan and get the factory involved to make sure the dealer knows you are serious.    wrote:

Cool and good luck to you.  Oh, on mine one of the rattles was the sunvisor mirror door.  You can filp both of them down one at a time while driving and see if one of the noises goes away.  Mine was the passenger visor and I would have sworn it was the dash.  The other ratle was the dash and it turned out to be the center door mechanism.    wrote:
