Hi Richard, You might remember me. I am still looking for a car like this, but you are just a little to far away and and a little high for my budget. But I just wanted to say again, you're a real "Z" lover, you took good care of her ........

Luther, Hi...I do remember you. Sorry you haven't found what you're looking for yet. I had something happen to me the other day and I would like to get your input. While travelling to work on Monday, my "check engine" light came on. It has never happened before on this car. On previous car's I have owned, it came on and after checking it out at the dealer it ususally had something to do with an air breather or some other emission item. I didn't panic, but i did want to have it checked out (since i AM trying to sell it). Anyway, the dealer said that the computer came up with "EGR Port" which he said was an emissions item, but that it wasn't as easy to clean as changing a filter. After he said it would cost nearly $700 dollars (and a couple of days) to fix, i had a decision to make. I decided that since it is my everyday car, it would cost me more than that to have it fixed (rental car, taxi, or bumming rides), and I couldn't be without it right now, that i would just sell it for $1000 less and let the buyer (who probably knows more about it than i do) do the repairs and have a couple hundred extra for the trouble. I have decided to alter my ad on AutoTrader and take $8999. I haven't done it yet, but i will need to make a decision within a week or so (ad renewal comes up then). Since i had some time and you wrote me back, i thought this would be a great opportunity to get your input, since you too are a Z lover.

- The "check engine" light came on in 2 of my previous cars (not Z's) and i drove them for a long time after it came on. Nothing actually bad was happening to the car, it just meant that the exhaust was not as clean as it was when new.

- PS - I looked into into putting my Z on Ebay once and discovered that if someone buys a car from a long distance away, there are car transport companies that will transport a car cross country for a small fee (i checked from my zip code to 90210, and it was $280 - and that was in a covered semi-truck). Just FYI.

Thanks again for the re-post and please let me know what you think about the light thing.
