Hot weather 88 Turbo

Feb 20, 2004 1 Replies

Not really. I'm in Atlanta, it gets pretty hot here and they do fine. We do replace a few radiators and fan clutches but no more than any other car and the turbo's don't seem to be any worse then the NA cars.

I own a 1988 300ZX Turbo and am moving to Scottsdale AZ. The car has been very well maintained. No major issues (knock on wood). Since the temp out there can reached up to 120 during the summer, I was curious to see if I should make any type of adjustments, flushes,....anything. The car has

160,000 miles on it. The turbo is original, but still runs very strong. Are these cars prone to overheating (especially the turbo)? Any ideas or suggestions is appreciated.

Thank you.
