What about the Mercedes paint question posted to three MB newsgroups and three nissan groups? It would be considered good form to post to one or two groups, see if you get an answer, if not post to another.

Are you aware that your posts are being archived? If you post the same message six times that post is archived six times. When someone is looking through the archived postings you have cluttered up the archives with unnecessary posts. Posts should be on topic for the group.

Not that you've done this but it's also considered good form to search both archived groups

the web for info before asking questions when the answers are readily available.

Your posting of binaries (pics) to a non-binary newsgroup is considered bad manners. You should post them to a website and provide links. The reason for this is that there are places in the world where people are still using phone lines and being billed by usage. In other words when they access alt.autos.nissan.z-car they pay extra for pic's you've posted that they may not even care to see.

Your overuse of capitol letters is considered shouting and bad manners.

You really should brush up on your netiquette. You will get more help if people feel you're showing some consideration.

Here's a faq that really is a little outdated but may have some useful info.
