350Z CD changer stuck on day 1?

Oct 10, 2003 8 Replies

Hey all, Just picked up my 350z last night, and popped a cd in to the 6 disk changer on the way home. Got home, tried to eject it, nothing happens. Its been stuck since, I've tried switching to another cd, hitting the load button, or just turning the player on. None of the buttons for CD do anything, unless I hit CD6 in which case the screen says press eject. I do, the door opens, it spins for a second, door closes, stereo goes off.

Is it broken already or am I just missing something?

Thanks for the help!

You go BACK to the dealer dipstick it is warrantied

I plan to... I was just hoping to save myself an hour drive if all I have to do is push a button to reset the thing

Disconnect the battery for a few min, when you reconnect it should pop the CD out. If not look for a tiny reset button that needs to be poked with the tip of a pen near the eject button on the changer.

Thanks! I'll give it a try.

Did you buy a new car with no instructions?

Haven't delivered the first one in the UK yet.

Are you sure it was empty when you got it? If it was repo it may have had a full changer to start with and they don't like trying to shuffle an extra disc.
