I think Nissan dropped the ball. For a measly 30 or so horsepower the premium requirement is rigademdiculous.
If premium is $2.33 then surely regular is not any less than $2.00 a gallon, most likely more. So to me, paying an extra .30 cents or so a gallon to get better results is not at all what I would consider to be "stupid".
I seriously doubt that a change to or from premium grade fuel will make 30 HP difference??
My NA is supposed to be 180? and the Super is 210? So difference of 30 horsepower gets you into the high grade fuel requirement.

BTW, guess what happens to your warranty if they find out you've been using less that recommended fuel and oil.

So if you are running regular and then fill it with premium, your car suddenly gains 30 HP??
Oh so he is comparing a super charged vs a normally aspirated. And yes the blower needs premium unless you retard the timing. But if it is the same engine in both cases and the blower only adds 30 HP, how sucky is that?

What I am saying is that I think Nissan should have done better engineering so that you don't have to use premium gas to get the 30 hp that the charger outs out.
Most other trucks with V6 puts out more horsepower/torque on regular gas.
