Murano '04 vs. Murano 05'

Aug 22, 2004 1 Replies

I really need your help. This is my first time buying a new car.

According to the dealers I've spoken to, the 2005 Murano's release date has been pushed back, though they don't have an approximate date. Currently, Nissan is offering 2% financing thru Sept 7th on the 2004 Murano.

My three questions:

  1. What differences (if any) can be expected between the 2004 and 2005 Murano? In other words, will the 2005 Murano be "better?"

  1. Would it be safe to assume that the 2005 Murano will cost more than the 2004?

  2. Is the 2% financing one of the few promotions Nissan will run, or should I expect similar financing deals for the 2005 Murano after it releases?

Thank you for your help!

Kevin

Yes, the 2005 model will be "better". Nissan has said that it will fix the steering problem that has been noted in previous model year Muranos, just for one example. Until the new model is released, no one knows for sure what other things will change for the 2005 model Murano.

No one knows that yet, either. It appears that Lexus has reduced the price on their ES for 2005 but that has no bearing on Nissan prices.

Again, no one knows for sure if Nissan will be offering 2% financing for

2005 models. My guess would be not for a few months but that's strictly a guess.

I'm waiting until the 2005 Murano is released so that I can test drive and probably order one myself. I'm in no hurry.
