Nissan 2001.. Check Engine Light and Can't drive faster than 30

Jun 24, 2004 2 Replies

Just out of warranty, Check Engine light went on and I cannot drive it faster than 30 miles/Hr. Can there be any transmission problem. Are transmission problem covered after 3yrs... Anyone has such issues previously..

Thanks Mayank Nainwal

You need to read your owners manual.

You have 3 warrantees.

3 year or 36k bumper to bumper (covers anything and everything) 5 year or 60k mile powertrain (covers engine and transmission) 8 year or 80k emission ( covers only the ECM and catalytic converter) warranty.

get it to the dealership , it may be under warranty. Then again it may not.

Probably not a transmission problem. Get it to someone who can run a diagnostic check on it.
