my father has a three year old micra with low mileage and the windscreen demister fan only works when it feels like it . are there any known faults with these that i should know about before i start taking the car to bits
Sometimes microscopic invisible corrosion affects the ordinary FUSES. They are not blown, but power is only getting through sometimes
Find the fuse for the heater motor and remove it. It can then be plugged back in again (turn it around if possible)
That's the fix for my radio ! If you're lucky, then maybe it's something as simple as that
