Nissan USA v. Nissan Japan

It looks like the Infiniti M45 is the Nissan Cedric and the Infiniti Q45 is the Nissan Cima in Japan.

I'm sure some minivans or trucks are the same.

IIRC, the U.S. models of the Sentra, Altima, and Maxima are not sold in the Japanese market.

The Infiniti G20 was a close equivalent to the Sunny at the time. But how mechanically similar is the current Sunny to the Sentra? How about the suspension? Chassis? Engine? Sheet metal? It doesn't look to me that a Sentra == Sunny today.

Only a few USDM Nissan cars are not offered in for the JDM. USDM cars are quite similar to the JDM cars but sometimes with different drivetrains and sheetmetal.

Of course my memory might have a few glitches but I'm 99% sure I have it correct.

Its like the North American side took all the good cars and sent them here. They must be pissed in HK and such on the skyline. what a mess. I didn't know that they use the G35 as a skyline.

Don't confuse the regular Skyline, which is the luxury sedan, with the Skyline GT-R. You appear to be thinking of the Skyline GT-R. The speculation on forums such as freshalloy.com is that Nissan will drop the "Skyline" part from the GT-R name, and just call it the "GT-R," but in the U.S. market it will be called the Infiniti G35R or such. Estimates on price start at $60K and that's optimistically low.

Not quite. There was no 180SX in USDM, and the S12 is not the same as the 180SX. Not sure about the S12 being a Silvia in JDM, but that is possible.
