Should I get a valve job

As I'm preparing to tear into my engine to replace my timing chain, which according to my Haynes manual requires removing the cylinder head, I'm trying to decide if I should just go ahead and drop the head at the local machine shop for a valve job while I'm at it. I've got 108,000 miles on the engine and on the top side the head looks pretty good. I haven't pulled it off yet so I have no idea what the other side looks like.

My local machine shop says for $60 they'll do a complete value job and return it back to me in a couple of days. (that price is of course is if they don't have to replace any valves.) But, if the valves look pretty good, would it be worth it since I got the head off anyway, or a just a waste of money. Any thoughts? Thanks...Tony

at 108k , id go ahead and do it, might as well...if you had to do it, you would have to remove all that stuff and get charged for labor... and the price is right! 60 clams! JUST MAKE SURE THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING, AND THAT THEY HAVE SOME NISSAN EXPERIENCE! (IMHO) or a lot of nissan experience! :) what model? sounds like a sentra...

They are wrong, there is NO reason to remove the head to do the chain.
