Stock radio

My stock radio in my 95' Nissan P/U reception was horrible so I went out and bought a new one and had it professionally installed. I'm getting the same thing that I was getting with the stock one. I have no AM stations and few FM stations. I am thinking a full antenna replacement is what I need. First of all, does that sound correct? Any other suggestions as to what I need? And secondly, how would I go about doing that?

Since you should've purchased the new stereo at

but we will save that for another time.

Yes your antenna sucks. It could be corroded near the base or the antenna lead is bad. A new Nissan antenna is fairly pricey, However a new HARADA Antenna is about $15 complete and it is a simple install. The HARADA # is FM 24 D that is for the Nissan PU.

Sounds pretty simple but I have just one question...What is HARADA?
