THE BRAKE LIGHT IN MY XTERRA COMES ON IN THE AM. IT GOES OFF AFTER A WHILE....SHOULD I TOP OFF THE BRAKE FLUID? THE PADS SEEM TO BE FINE

If the fluid is not at least above the "min" line, top it off.
The light will also come on if the parking brake is not fully released. Check the switch on the parking brake handle to make sure it is being fully pressed (or released if it is of that design) when the handle is all the way off.
AS THE BRAKES WEAR THE FLUID LEVEL DROPS AND THE SENSOR DETECTS THIS. FILL YOUR MASTER WITH FLUID AND FIX YOUR CAPITALS LOCK ON YOUR KEYBOARD.
AND DON'T GET BRAKE FLUID ON YOUR KEYBOARD.
