1993Altima Starting Issues

Hi all,

I have a '93 Altima that doesn't seem to want to start right now. The battery is fine and the terminals are clean as a whistle. When the issue first started, I replaced the starter and starter solenod hoping that this would correct it. But even with the new starter, she would not even click when you turned her over. I replaced all the relays and still no dice. I finally gave up and direct wired a switch into the dash that runs between the battery and the starter. She starts up fine and runs great. Some of my neighbors have suggested different things like the ignition switch itself is toast. I would like to get some more opinions before I spend more cash on her. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Logic would suggest that you are on the right track. If you can direct wire and have it start it seems (I'm no mechanic) that the problem lies between the ignition switch and starter.

Thanks for the confirmation. I was hoping I wasn't barking up the wrong tree. Knowing my luck, a mouse probably decided to make some wires into lunch in the thing.
