I read on one of the postings that you must use OEM spark plugs for the Maxima, ie NGK PFR5C-11. I have replaced my spark plugs at least 3 years ago with Bosch platinium plugs. Is this wrong ? What is the effect ?

Normally will cause running problems some people don't seem to notice, bumpy idle, hesitations etc. I can always tell when a car comes in our shop that has them in it by the way it runs. If you can't, what do they say 'ignorance is bliss'?
BTW they have a nasty habit of breaking off right at the seam after they've been in a car for a while. Hope you kept they money you saved using them and invested it well so it will cover pulling the heads off if they do break.
