96 GLE - CEL Code 0901 - Front Right Htd O2 Sensor Heater

My 96 GLE (92k) set the MIL Friday evening - I pulled the code - it was 0901 - Front Right Heated O2 sensor heater... I cleared the code to see if it reposted but haven't seen it since... so here's what I'm looking for some feedback on...



I understand that the oxygen sensor has a built-in heater to help it reach operating temperatures quicker - but what exactly would have happened with the "heater" to trip the MIL? Even though the code has not reposted, would it be in my interests (mileage/emissions/plugging the catalytic converter, etc.) to replace the O2 sensor in question or some/all of them given my current mileage? (At the least, I intend to keep the car for another 50k).

Let me follow up my own post with a simpler/clearer question... would it be worthwhile for me to replace the oxygen sensors in my car given its current mileage (92k) and that I intend to keep it for another

50k?

I wouldn't. But then I'm cheap...and am not willing to shell one stinking dime to replace a part that I have tested throughly. Unless you've got money to burn...and you're a plug and pray kind of guy, then test it.

If you're not getting a code now/MIL not lit, and you passed emissions

- then I wouldn't do a thing.

I definitely don't have money to burn. I reset the light - it hasn't shown up since (its been a week). I might just test it anyway and see what I get...
