205 mi16 conversion

OK, who has done it?

I'm collecting my donor 405 tomorrow, after some pointers....

I believe that it's just a bolt in job...... except...

Radiator and inlet plenum meet, either shorten plenum, or move rad. Exhaust manifold is too close to bulkhead You need to wire in 405 ECU, or convert to 205 distributor and carbs.

Put "mi16 into 205" into google, there's over 500 entries

I've heard using the 405 radiator eliminates this problem, but would like to know for sure

Yeah, custom manifold time, that's gonna cost me...

No problem! ;-)

Hello,

Well, it seems wider to me. A good guess would be to fit, IMO, a twin fan from a Diesel, and eventually to force them on on first speed all the time.
