I have an M reg 306 XLD 1.9 diesel. I can't get any heat out of the system. I have flushed out the radiator and replaced the water/antifreeze but that didnt help, I have opened the bleed holes to get rid of air but still no heat inside. Is there possibly valves that can bypass the heater matrix? It is interesting that the pipes leading to and from the matrix both get hot but it appears no hot water is getting to the matrix....
can anyone help?
Thanks, Simon

Sorry you've had no replies. I've had the same problem for the past year. What I've recently done is flushed it through again, but this time, removing the 2 heater hoses. Then attach a garden hose to the OUTLET pipe, turn on the hose, and put your finger over the other pipe to build up a bit of pressure, then release it and see if more brown water comes out. It looks like my heater matrix is blocked and this is how to unblock it. SInce I did this a week ago, the heater is better, but still not up to scratch. I will do it again and again, and hopefully get the heater back to normal. You say your ipies are both hot, but try putting the heater on hot, then switch the fan on full and see if the outlet one cools significantly, this was the case with me, indicating that not a lot of water was circulating in the matrix. Remember to flush the matrix out in the reverse to the normal flow. Let me know how you get on,
Neil

are the cables working?- sounds to me as if the water valve isn't opening.

only one of the 2 pipes is a supply pipe, the other is a return pipe (obviously) so if they are both hot.....well you work it out....yes the water is flowing through the matrix.....check the vent flaps are working correctly and assuming you have bled it correctly that there is no trapped air in the matrix...although as mentioned before...if both pipes are hot...seems like it is flowing ok...
