Is it normal for a 307 hdi 90 to leave a cloud behind me when accelerating even when fully warmed up?
Well my 306 HDi 90 doesn't!
cheers, Len
accelerating
i don't mean excessive just noticble mostly at night if i look in the mirror i can see a bit of smoke.
To be honest I don't look! But I think I would have noticed if it was there? Suspect it's the same engine? Mine's done 37K now and still going OK but flat spotting just over 3000 after major 36000 service?
cheers, Len
Mines only done 14000
CUT Mine does. Curiously, it's much more noticeable in VERY warm weather (in Italy, for instance), but only if I look in the rearview mirror while accelerating. rgds yp
That's right mostly in warmer weather and only noticible when really giving it a bit of stick and looking in the mirror.
Well the HDi 110 engine defintely does. Most (all) diesels do, unless they aren't fuelling enough for the boost they are running. It's normally noticeable in the headlights of following cars at night.
