The airbag light is on on my 306. Is it dangerous to drive?
Can I disable the airbag safely by disconnecting the fuse?

Common fault is the pre-tensioner. The orange wire under both the front seats, Peugeot usually cut off the connectors joining them and solder the wires back together.

Yes it must be the pre-tensioner, I had the same problem with my Xsara.
