peugeot 206 power steering oil

If you got a Halford near you they are very helpfull and can tell you which one to use..

For vehicles fitted with power steering with mechanical pump : Only use the hydraulic fluid TOTAL AT42 ( Not : Versions for very cold climates ) .

For Very Cold Climate version vehicles fitted with power steering with mechanical pump : Only use the hydraulic fluid PENTOSIN CHF11S .

For vehicles fitted with an electropump assembly : Only use the hydraulic fluid TOTAL FLUIDE DA .

Roger, You need to put a drop of the oil from the resevoir on your finger and see if it is a red colour or is clear. This will determine if it is a mineral or non mineral based. Then tell any good motor factors what colour it is, and they will supply the correct grade. Dont mix red and clear !!! Hope this helps Regards Tom
