i've never posted on newsgroup before but thought id give it a go i've got nothing to lose. when i start car it doent rev enough automatically i have to use accelarator till engine heats up. also when i'm driving along the power goes away i have to push clutch in then push accelarator before letting clutch out again. a few mechanics have had a look and are stumped. i had problems with throttle housing before this, are these problems connected? many thanks to any replies

stepper motor??
I was thinking stepper motor, the ones I've suffered with gave an unmistakable symptom, the tickover revs would never be the same twice on startup. Sometimes way too high, sometimes too low to run. Maybe thats just the ones I've had.
