My heater core went. An a machenic told me it would be 3 hours labor time to replace. I want to do this myself. Does anyone know what basic steps I need to take to repalce this. Do i do it remove it from the engine compartment, for from inside. Does the dash board have to be removed????

we'd need to know model, engine type, etc.
I do know it's a bitch on the 95 GP we had. The book showed 1 hour for blower motor R&R alone, compared to an avg of .5 for most others...

Hello Mike get yourself a repair manul from the library for this make and model it will have repair proceedure.
