2001 Pontiac Sunfire

Starting a couple of days ago with the onset of cold weather, I just noticed my rear window defogger doesn't work at all. The light comes on when I push in the button but window stays totally fogged or iced. Any clues what to look for or how these things are repaired. TIA.

Check the circuit breaker. Try another breaker in place of the one presenty in there. Last year my circuit breaker was getting hot when the Defog button was pressed.

Check the connector that goes to the glass. Window washing can sometime knock it loose.

Thats about all I can suggest to you.

Also if your mats / rugs are really wet the windows will stay steamed up long due to the high moisture content in the vehicle. If the mats are soaked bring them in the house to dry overnight.

Good Luck !

Thanks for the suggestions - I phoned the dealer and they said to bring it in and they would fix it. It was one of the connectors - took them 10 minutes to fix and everything works fine again. I can see clearly now.........
