Hi All, I have a '96 GA with a window problem. The windows sometimes work and then they don't. Sometimes they'll go down all the way, sometimes only part of the way. Same thing going up. One window may work fine and another doesn't. I wait a few minutes and they're fine. Do I need to replace the entire switch pack? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!! TIA to all posters!

This sounds like the switches are possibly dirty or worn. You can clean the switches with a little bit of WD-40. If you chose to replace them, buy new ones as used ones can be in rough shape also.
I Have a 97 Grand Am and i had the same problems right before the window motors went out, my drivers side, and bck drivers and passengers side all went out. i have talked to several people and this is a common problem with Pontiac Grand am and Grand Prix.
