ABS Controller

My daughter just bought a used 1993 Mercury Sable. Her brakes were pulsating badly. I just checked them and they did not look like the problem. I changed them and rotors, just to be safe. There is no pulsating, but she will have to drive the car for awhile before we really know. I checked the Alldata website and there was a safety recall ..ABS Controller Replacement. This car is new to her and I am thinking that this recall might not have been fixed and could have something to do with the brakes pulsating. Has anyone heard of this before or have any ideas? Thank you, Will Hamelton

No, because this is a PONTIAC newsgroup.

Sure, call a Ford dealer and give them the VIN, and they will tell you if the recall was done. Pulsating is almost always from uneven rotor thickness, which you find using a good micrometer. GW

Thanks. Couln't find a Mercury group. Our main car has always been Pontiac. Just took a chance. Thanks again, Will
