Does the 745 '91 model have ABS? I have a big ecu type box down by the right hand side (drivers side, UK) in the footwell, on the side just below where the handle for the bonnet release is. By the looks of my Haynes manual, this is where the controller for ABS is. Can anyone confirm this? as I don't think it is operational if it is.

Look under the hood and see if the valve unit is there. Also there should be an amber ABS lamp on the dash.
Thats a no to both James. And slamming on the brakes doesn't give the tell tale kick back. Any idea what this unit is?

Wait a sec, on the right side to the right of the footwell? That's the ECU, the hood release caught me up, as over here that's on the left side.
LOL - I forgot about the left/right hand drive thing. Thanks James.
