Disabling my Sunfire

I heard there is a certain wire under the steering wheel of a Sunfire (and prolly every other car) that you can pull, disbaling the car, keeping it from being started Does anyone know which wire it is? Or have another way of discreetly disabling a Sunfire? I need to know soon. Its not for criminal reasons. Please help.

Well, you could just grab a handful of wires and pull them out of their sockets. ... Or you could replace the fuel pump fuse with one that is blown.

How about just disconnecting one of the battery wires?

My Grand Am came with a little security plug under the dash that stops the car from starting with the key and starter if the plug is removed. I did find out that the car can still be push started (manual transmission) with the plug removed.

If I am going to be away from the apt for a week or more, I remove a battery wire, it stops any amatuer from stealing the car.
