Gm Warranty .. how long ..

Jun 26, 2003 3 Replies

Hey guys, I had some work done at my gm dealer in '00, the receipt shows 12 months, 12k miles for service work .. anyone know if that includes parts? I feel sorta screwed in the fact that 2 1/2 years ago my fuel pump was replaced and now it is toast ... when the original lasted 10 years...

I do know that 2.5 years is a lot more than 12 months.

C,

Probably covers just the Part. I know what you mean about the parts not lasting as long as the originals, but it has to do with the country the new parts are made in.

When I got a delco radiator cap the box said Made In India. The factory radio Made & Assembled in Mexico.

I finally called the GM dealer today.. Go figure, they are going to warrant the parts AND the labor! I guess Fuel pumps have a lifetime warranty on them... Woohoo! That means, no spilling gas all over the place on my driveway, nor annoying my landlord by spilling gas all over the place ..
