98 Grand am. When I stop my car sometimes dies. It starts right back up. Took it to the shop and they cleaned the throttle body. Helped a little. Took it back in and they changed the spark plug wires saying one was bad. Better by every once in a while still stalling. Took it back today and had the coil board replaced still stalling...can anyone help me out??

My friend's car ( a little older than yours though ) was having similar problems and it turned out to be the Torque converter. They are computer controlled, so it may be the Torque converter controller or there is a solenoid that controls the Torque converter.

I have a 91 sunbird. done same thing. changed torque converter control solenoid. no problem after. luckily I didnt have to pull tranny but newer ones tranny has to be removed.
