GTP battery

I have a 2001 GTP and I just noticed that there was a large amount of corrosion on the tray where the battery sits. The terminals and all cables are clean. Has anyone noticed this or seen these batterys crack? I keep the area under the hood pretty clean and I just found it so it would of happened in warm weather in the past 10 days or so. Thanks

Leakage from the positive post is a common problem. Did you remove the bolt, or just inspect while assembled. I've seen many where the leak cannot be seen until the cable is removed.
