ok i have a 1990 gran prix, just got it back from my uncle. he put a timing chain in it and now it starts and idles great but under power it has none. at idle it seems as though it is in time, i am lost on what to check out?? anyone help me

Timing belt or chain out 1or 2 cogs recheck.
