Right, the rate almos guaranteed to go up with energy supply cost.
My projection of the forward curve, rotating off the front month.
"High and higher."
No kidding, and no more of a case for a plug-in, around here at least.
As I say, at rates approaching $0.20 per kWh, it's not rocket science.
No matter what sort of argument you want to make.

If the Toyota version of the Prius PHEV carries a 10K premium I couldn't cost justify it even at my low off-peak rate.

Which is the price point of the aftermarket A123 battery system.

Exactly. If the premium were 3K to 4K I'd buy it but that isn't going to happen anytime soon.

Not all Prius owners are smart. My son has been in Baghdad since last july as an explosive ordnance disposal specialist. As his father I resent you putting " Bring them home ASAP" in your posts on a car site. Maybe they should just come home and bring few hundred terrorists to live in your town. I hope you sleep well tonite knowing some peoples kids are out there protecting you and your Prius. Scott

That is the .sig I use on every newsgroup. It is a sig appended to the message, and is not part of the message.
Our invasion and occupation of Iraq has nothing to do with terrorism.
Our troops in Iraq aren't protecting me; they're dying for no good reason.
Now a little background about me: I put more than twenty-two years in the US Army, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer twenty-five years ago. My daughter was in the army and served in the Gulf War. My son-in-law served in the Gulf War as well; he will have his twenty years in by this time next year, but as of now, he's planning to stay more than twenty. He is an SFC, and should be making MSG soon. My girlfriend served in the Gulf War and earned two Bronze Stars. She is now permanently disabled and on 100% disability as a result of her military service.
So don't lecture me about defending our country. I hope that your son, and all the other men and women over there, come home safely. And the best way to get them home safely is to get out of there, especially because we don't belong there in the first place.
