EKA (Emergency Key Access)

Hi Jamie

You should be KOK even if the battaries in bith remotes go at the same time.

A rover dealer will give you the eka should you need it just by looking it up on their computer system .

Personally I wouldn't bother.

My 97 418 tourer when I got it the alarm/immobiliser had been bypasssed (a bit crudely to say the least!) when I had fixed door switches etc, and put the correct battery in the fob...

All you do is unlock the car with the key and press the unlock button on the fob 4 times in quick succession (information from handbook) this works if you need to change the battery in the car as well as the battery in the fob, This resynchronises the code in the handset with the car.

The only reason you would need the code is if the battery in the fob goes flat and you need to drive the car. but any rover dealer should be able to give you that info ( I must really get mine!)
