Rover coupe Turbo ABS

Hello Group

Can anyone help me with an ABS problem. Is it possible to check if a sensor is faulty without going to rover for the diagnostic, last time I went it cost me £70 before they found the problem and another £350 to fix it. I took a chance this time around and replaced the front drivers side cv joint as the teeth on the pick up ring were almost gone with corrosion, anyway that hasnt fixed it so I am back to square one and guess what it cost me £70. :-/

It all started last week when I began feeling the abs through the brake peddle at very slow speeds 10mph to 0mph when stopping at junctions, I thought it was the driver side front were the noise was coming from. Then next day the light came on and the next day it was ok. But it has been on constant for the last three or four Days now.

Cheers

Hi,

Same here. Light would come on but on reseting the ignition would go off. A few days later now on. Rover diagnosed for about #45 and of course reccomend a new unit + housing (no such thing as a cheap part with Rover). Will be about #250ish with labour.

Technological progress - the price of enhanced safety ;-)

Maybe a duff pump. but have you checked that the new cv you put on has the same amount of teeth on than the others
