When I bought my '01 9-5 the salesman told me the higher boost pressure would lead to relatively more maintenance than the basic turbo. I found the basic turbo has plenty of power for my needs and the mileage is better. I recommend checking out the reliability data on Edmunds.com and msn.autos for this model and year. People are pretty good about complaining when they get a lemon.

On the flip side though people are not so good about praising when they don't have problems. If you read anything like that or these newsgroups for that matter for any type of car you're likely to run across mostly people who are having problems otherwise they aren't so likely to find the group and start posting.
Get the Aero...more horsepower is ALWAYS a good thing;) I just got done doing a 450 mile road trip in my Viggen (16-20Lbs of Boost) and averaged
32.3 MPG and doing about 80-85 the whole time.Join the Discussion
