Hey, I am interested in the sport exhaust for my 2002 saab 9-3 se. But before i consider it further, i want to understand the benifits of the exhaust. So, what can i expect from this exhaust? Thanks, Steve P.S, here is the link to the sport exhaust page

About 8 more HP with the throttle wide open.
A nice gurgle from the tail pipe when accelerating and decelerating. Probably not as obvious with a non-convertible.
Many of us opt for the sport exhaust when our stock one wears out since it is stainless and will last for a very, very long time. It does not really make sense to buy the stock non-stainless replacement exhaust on a $ for $ basis. The only reason to go stock would be for less noise and if you want that I would instead buy the sport exhaust and install a stainless muffler on the center pipe (like the stock system has).
I have a 9-3 '02 SE convertible, and replaced the stock exhaust for the Viggen exhaust right away. I like dhte looks, I was very disappointed with the fit: it is advertised as a regular part for the 9-3, but you need several additional changes of HW for it to fit right, and it tends to move around quite a bit due to the rubber mounts. I noticed no discernible difference in power delivery (even though I believe those who say there is), I did however notice a large increase in noise that borders boy racer territory. I have kept it in, but if I knew ack then what I know now, I would not do it again. The regular sport exhaust may be another story - the Viggen exhaust gets a "not recommended" vote from me.

I didn't notice the same from the 9~3/NG900 exhaust. It's a little louder, but not seriously louder. With the windows up I don't think you'd be able to tell a difference.
Thanks, next step is to call my local saab dealer and order one. But, i think ill wait till my stock exhaust rusts or fails...

You must want to call Sports Car Service and see if they are still selling them: 1-800-722-2130. They used to have it for about $250 AFAIR compared to $400 for the dealer. Same unit, just a low price. Also call eeuroparts.com (two e's in that URL).
