Can anyone tell me of what changed on the 900 between 1997 and 1998. I'm looking at buying a '98 with 127K on it. My buddy with a 97 has quite a list of things that have happened. It sounds like exhaust system have been an issue (we're into salt here). He mentioned cracking up front.
This car had the check engine light on and one of the O2 sensors was confirmed bad by the guy selling. I got the service history that the dealer had, looks like they serviced it there until 48K (the end of the warrantee) It doesn't look like they were too mechanically inclined... I mean paying a dealer to change headlights.
What else should I be looking for? This was the end of the 900's wasn't it? After this it was 9-3 and a turbo in every SAAB!
