cigar lighter for 97 900se???

Not that I smoke, but the empty hole looks so... empty. Looked on eeuroparts.com but couldn't find one. Anyone know of a good supplier of little things like this? ~GJ~

Ebay, look for people who are parting out their cars. And also, this newsgroup of course, have gotten a few parts from here myself. Currently wanted: Central locking motors for rear door and for hatch. NG900 electric window switch panel with sunroof switch.

Try a wrecker.

I am reasonably sure that a Mercedes part will fit (If it comes to having to humble yourself) and I personally purloined the lighter from my wife's Jetta when my went west.

I found some replacement lighters on ebay just by searching under "saab 900" for around $5-$8.

I have recently been looking at replacing my lighter for my recently acquired 1994 Saab 900s Convertible.I use an iPod (MP3 player) and found that my Belkin Auto Charger will not charge in the cigarette lighter. In fact, the device simply pops out of the lighter plug as if it's the wrong size.

Before I put in a bid, I tired out my cellphone charger and it worked fine (fairly standard in size). As you can see I am not a smoker.

Has anyone had an issue with Belkin Auto Chargers for iPods in their 900s' cigarette lighter plug? Could the shape of the lighter be warped, or are these always a standard size? I tried several Google searches under strings such as "saab 900 lighter Belkin" or "iPod saab 900" or something of that nature, but found absolutly nothing.

I have found that many manufacturers of C.L. adaptors (cell phones, for example) make them undersize. Perhaps there are some cars out there with small cigarette lighter sockets. Personally, I though they were all standard and all the ones I've seen a "large" but someone in the adaptor engineering group must know better.

At one point I found a shim that you could put around your adaptor to make it fit better in the socket. I tried it out but it was sort of a pain to use. I'm pretty sure I tossed mine and I'm very sure I don't recall where I ordered it (somewhere on-line).
