Nice one! That's a very tidy looking car, at a great price. Even if you need to spend a few hundred fixing it up it's still really good value.

I reckon so. Just needs a roof sooner or later, and the inner skin of the bonnet has some minor rust he says near the roller where it slots in. Better than the iner skin than the outer one I reckon.

Cheers. Sometimes you just get that feeling that if you don't take that chance, it is something you will regret, even if there is a risk of getting burned. I had that feeling.

Looks like wheels are from a 9000 Aero.

...photo and description are good! You've even got a bit of summer left in which to enjoy it! Hope you can keep it somewhere secure - convertibles seem to attract the attention of toerags with Stanley knives...
Nice one!

Always a risky business - used cars generally.
Anyway - the most important thing is that the bodyworks's nice. Mechanical bits can always be fixed.

Yep, late 9k Aero wheels, with a spare set of 15" 900 twisted aeros too.

Not exactley. but I won't keep anything of value in it, and will only actually replace it when it starts to look like a patchwork quilt. Partly I'm glad that it does look a little "wear and tear" on the roof. Might stop scrotes having a go.

There are lots of reasons why a car might get a recon engine. For instance, in the UK oil changes are rarely done religiously, even less so once a car hits its 5-7th birthday. It is not uncommon to see a 10-12 year old car with 3 year old oil in it. This is bad enough for NA engines, but it's terrible for turbo engines.

The car in question had a full service history as prescribed by Saab. I imagine that mentions oil changes.

Ok, true - missed that.
In which case I suspect it was done out of love. :-)
