Igintion System burning

I just picked up a 2001 Saab 95 this week. I ran great and we love it. I was turning a corner today and it stalled , and never started again. I smelled something burning like burnt resistors. I opened the hood and under the igintion plate their was smoke. It is under warranty and I had it towed to Saab but I was wondering what is under that plate? This car is new to me.. Thanks

It is your DI cassette. Replace it and your smell and the fault will probably be gone.

see the previous posting. This is the DI cartridge. The previous post was asking for symptoms of a failing DI cartridge. You answered it.
