03 Vue road noise & mpg?

Has anyone noticed a lot of road noise coming from the front wheel wells on their Vue? This occurs at speed of less than 35 mph. On a smooth pavement its not very noticable however if the road surface has slight roughness the noise is more noticable. I checked the front suspension and it seems fine as the Vue has 28000 miles on it. I also looked under the chassis for loose parts but couldn't find any. Just wondering if this is normal for Vues? The only solution I can think of is spraying under body coating in the wheel wells to dampen the noise.

What are other Vue owners (V6/auto/2WD) getting as far as miles per gallon?

Thanks, gary

I'd suspect a strange wear pattern on the tires. Try rotating the tires and see what happens with the noise. I have a 4 cylinder Vue with the CVT transmission. When commuting, I get around 20 mpg. On a long trip around 22. My SO can get over 25 on a long trip. I tend to be a little more aggressive and drive 5 to 10 miles an hour faster than she does.

i have an '03, awd, 6 cyl., 25,000mi.

from what i kno, the road noise u hear is 'normal' for that year & model Vue. don't kno if they made them quieter on newer models.

i've noticed some noise from the radio antenae, when is shakes from the wind, etc.

my mpg is pretty good. 20+ city, 25 high.
