replacing motor mount w/ after market parts - is it ok?

I have replaced my SL1 96 upper motor mount with an after market part. Since the motor mount was badly collapsed, I couldn't compare it with the new one. The bolt holes ligned up but the bracket dimensions differed making me wonder if the engine was on the same level it should be originally. I'm concerned if there's a discrepancy on the tolerances, is there a possibility any moving parts could be damaged? The car is running great right now, but I want to avoid any future damage this may cause. Any input on this will be welcome!

Nope you should be good to go. You can have someone hold the brake, put it in gear, and then watch the engine rock back as a load is put on it.

Didn't someone post that the aftermarket was a thinner or lighter mount than the factory's?
