My R2 Avanti was converted, probably at the dealer back in 64, to an R1. In the process of returning it to R2 status I removed the 570 heads. The engine was rebuit by the previous owner and I assume the heads were done at the same time. They've been in my garage for about
7 years now so they need to be cleaned up. I was thinking that since I'm going to be at the York meet Fri and maybe early Sat I would bring them if someone wanted to buy them.I really don't know what they're worth but $200.00 for the pair complete with valves and springs, no broken bolts or repaired bolt holes, seems fair. They came off my running, driving car only because I thought I needed to replace them to supercharge it. In the end it wouldn't have been necessary because the engine was rebuilt with dished pistons. But I replaced them with a set with R3 intakes, anyway.
