Compare this to 25-30 years ago, when Avantis sold in the $4-6K range, a nice 50's Hawk sold in the $3K range, and most other Postwar Studes sold for $2K and under. Average new car prices were just cresting $10K.

Today, this super nice Avanti that wasn't resale red, and had a standard engine plus air, sold for about what my brother paid for his new 2006 Mustang GT. Even more proof that even the most optimistic person in the hobby back in the 70's and 80's has had his expectations exceeded. The Avanti may not be done appreciating, either.
