Three vehicles come to mind: The 1990/91 BMW Z1 which had doors that slid down, although the rather high sill gives it away somewhat. Arguably, the most famous would be the Glide-Away tailgate on the full-size GM's from
1971-76. Probably the first was Mack, with one from the late '20's that had doors that dropped down for entry and exit.Craig
I would have voted for the Kaiser Darrin (sp?)

"blacklarkviii carolina.rr.com>" What about the Kaiser Darrin? It slid forward into the back of the front
I'm going by the one in the video; where this one and the others I listed slid down into the floor, or below the body.
If you count the Kaiser, then you can count the Zip Van (Mandatory Studebaker Content), and all the other Step-Vans with a sliding door out there!!
