New Garage

I have been checking on my options for a new stude garage for my property in SC and Quonset Hut type buildings seem to offer biggest bang for the buck. So who here has one or has time in one for pros/cons and also best price (40' x 60'). Thanks!

The only drawback I can find with the round quonset hut type is that lack of flat walls other than on the ends unless you install them. A friend of mine bought one of the "erector set" type of steel buildings a few years ago and it came with 12' sidewalls and was a 30x40 and his father-in-law ordered the

60x40 shop/carport kit. They're both happy, but I like the style with the traditional roofline rather than the wrap the roof tin over to the wall style like they have. I worked around several round type quonsets in ND that were used for machine sheds or grain storage... as far as I can tell they'll withstand anything Mother Nature will throw at it unless you damage the end walls.

Dave has an older Quonset building for his shop. Hopefully he'll be checking in from the Meet and can answer some of your questions!
