Some people do not follow what people are working on. If you have a question you should explain what you need an answer on. What car are you working on Which Ross box are you swapping for a Saginaw? Power steering box? Robert Kapteyn

I have a 59 2 door sedan with a flathead that I will be swapping for an OHV six. Also the standard manual Ross TL for the manual Saginaw out of a 62 Lark. The BW T96 will come out and the OD T96 will go in it's place, after that the 23 will come out and the matching 27 will go in. Then a turbo. Then a different trans if the T96 fails,. maybe a T5. I have many other parts to play with.

I'm not concerned about combination like putting a V8, toploader, and a 44 and the like, although I have those parts. I have done that before and had fun I now want to build a light touring car.

The '59 has a white wire from the horn button down the hollow steering shaft and out the bottom of the steering gear where it goes into a 1- wire connector. The '62 has the white wire coming off a brush and pick- up ring on the steering column under the dash. Just connect that wire to the connector that exists on the '59. Won't you have to make an adaptor plate to attach the later steering box to the '59 frame?

Yep.....

No... it fits the frame just fine, You will need a later steering wheel IF the replacement saginaw uses the style with the brass plate/button and spring for the horn.

The box should bolt straight on and I do have a steering wheel from the 62. I'll have to look into the wire. I am using the 59 column.
