And they wonder why people make jokes about West Virginia!
Jeff,
I witnessed almost the same sight on Staten Island. The main boulevard was being fixed as shown in your photo. We all were being eased off to the left. A new Buick driven my an older gentleman decided to bypass the traffic. The result was the same as you showed. This happened right in front of the local Buick and Chevy dealership. I could hardly contain my laughter!!! Cruel, yes; appropriate, yes!!!! Flathead
I remember a lady coming in to the jobber store I ran back in the seventies... She asked for something that would take paint off the side of her car. I made a suggestion and she asked if we sold it in gallon jugs. Thinking her a bit daft, I went out and looked at her car. Holy S#!t!!! She had yellow paint at least 4 inches thick all along the lower rhs of her car.... And her wheelwells were completely filled with solid yellow paint. The wheelwells were so full the tires could not go up and down. Seems she was on the highway and was stuck behind the striping truck....for miles. She was driving on the fresh stripe.... I told her to go talk to her insurance company because they would probably total her car.
I smell a lawsuit...
