I need to know if there are acc. pumps made out of something besides leather? and also need to know if gas tank send unit gaskits are cork,and how thick they should be?

Accelerator pumps are made of leather on older carbs, and I have seen synthetic rubber on other newer models. Regarding the gaskes for the tank sending units, I typically stay with cork about 1mm thick, which is closest to original issue.

The new Performers use a synthetic rubber accel. pump but I am not sure if they are interchangeable with an old AFB. The leather seems to work fine for me, oil it before installing it and stretch it out a little tho
yes and I don't have one handy to look at but fairly thick, 3/16" maybe?
